Linking my iOS device to my Earnapp account

I have been trying to link my iOS device to my Earnapp account through Bright Rewards, but it hasn't worked. When I select Start Earning, I get a screen with a message saying Not Connected, then saying I've contributed 0 bytes and earned $0 on this device (the iOS) device). Has anyone else had this problem??

Please note I am blind and using VoiceOver on my iPhone, so it's possible I'm missing something here. Is there something I should be looking for that I'm missing? I have ways to do this but would need to know what to look for. TIA :)
